Jennifer Burns is author of Goddess of the Market: Ayn Rand and the American Right (2009) and is now at work on a biography of economist Milton Friedman. She publishes articles and interventions on conservatism, libertarianism, and liberalism in academic journals as well as The New York Times, Dissent, and The New Republic. Professor Burns is a co-founder of the Bay Area Consortium ofor the History of Ideas in America.
